For CAQ AG Factory Systems in Rheinböllen, Control is one of the most important technical trade fairs in the field of quality assurance. This is confirmed by COO Carsten Strebel (chief operating officer). In a conversation with the Control trade fair team, he explains the importance of the trade fair and describes the extent to which modern QA measures help to meet the production challenges of efficiency, the conservation of resources and sustainability.

For us, Control is one of the most important technical trade fairs in the field of quality assurance, which always makes it a great opportunity to measure ourselves against the competition and offer interested parties an easy approach to finding the right solution. Consequently, we haven’t missed a single Control in Stuttgart yet as an exhibitor. In particular with regard to networking with other suppliers and partners, Control is an important event we wouldn’t want to miss out on. Furthermore, physical presence at the trade fair emphasises our brand identity and complements our online profile. Ultimately, the trade fair also serves as an excellent team-building event, because participating at a trade fair fosters a sense of unity amongst colleagues.

QA Promotes the Production of Safe Products

Now more than ever, companies in all sectors need to take advantage of digitalisation, networking and the intelligent evaluation of information – and implement them in their daily quality procedures. In addition to opportunities for increasing manufacturing efficiency, intelligent quality assurance also makes a significant contribution to the production of safe products. And thus it’s not only about reducing the costs of potential errors and rework, increasing customer satisfaction and setting oneself apart from the competition, it also involves detecting hidden errors within the value chain, avoiding legal consequences and often even preventing danger to life and limb.
Whether sustainability, climate protection, the energy transition, e-mobility, automation or supply chain law is concerned: hardly any of our current megatrends can be tackled without digitalising processes and production methods with a focus on all aspects of a company’s quality assurance efforts. Modern QA measures thus contribute directly to mastering a multitude of challenges of global importance.

AI as a Technology Trend in Quality Assurance

Carefully considered use of AI in quality assurance is a technology trend which is indispensable in today’s world. A current QA highlight at our company: our new CAQ.Net embedded AI includes module-specific and cross-module AI-supported assistants within the CAQ.Net software, which support the user in the implementation of a diverse range of tasks, or can even perform them entirely independently. Amongst other things, large language models (LLMs) are used to this end, whose moderated output is immediately available for further use within the system. The AI assistants are realised and implemented in CAQ.Net software for the kind of scenarios in which they provide optimal support for the user.
