The Statistical Software Minitab Version 21.1 Convinces with Many New Features
The Statistical Software Minitab was developed especially for data analyses in quality management. Besides the optimized user interface, version 21 can score with its reliability analyses, extended by the Cox Regression, as well as the interactive tool Graph Builder, the Healthcare Module and the Predictive Analytics Module, including automated machine learning.
The hybrid application, consisting of the „Minitab Desktop“ for PC installation and the „Minitab Web App“ with cloud access, is easily usable for beginners as well as advanced users and satisfies by its comprehensive range of statistical methods and graphing tools.
The interactive module „Graph Builder“ is especially useful for visualizing data. In a convenient gallery, users can see a preview of the available graph types displayed and can easily switch between alternatives. Thus, users are able to see and test the same data represented in different graphs.
By means of the Predictive Analytics Module, the CART technologies are extended by TreeNet® and Random Forest®. Compared to linear models, tree-based methods can map nonlinear relations very well, save time and can be easily interpreted. The Automated Machine Learning (AutoML) supports users when selecting the best suited model.
Furthermore, the survival and reliability analysis was extended by the statistical method Cox Regression. This method serves to examine the effect of multiple variables in terms of time until the occurence of a certain event.
Also new is the Healthcare Module, which has been developed specifically for quality improvement in healthcare. The guided data analysis of the Healthcare Module supports medical experts in improving the most important performance indicators (KPIs).
