Demo case for Siemens AG - Developed by bwh Spezialkoffer and presented at the Control trade fair
Siemens AG uses the SINUMERIK ONE 15 demo case as a new interactive presentation system for various control units. The electrical connection in the case allows machine and plant builders as potential customers to experience the innovative CNC control units in action. According to Peter Breitschuh, responsible for product presentations, training devices and test setups at Siemens' SIDEMO unit, it was important to offer customers more than just paper brochures during field service appointments. "It is only through the power supply of the demo case that important components such as the control elements can be made visible. The case allows us to bring them to life and create the WOW effect for our customers."
The SINUMERIK ONE 15 case contains two control units, one with a keyboard and one with a display, each in the lid and bottom part. The special challenge was the grounding concept to ensure electrical safety. As a basis for the joint case development, the bwh aluminum frame case "ARK" was used, which with its which, thanks to its stable and robust design, can easily bear the weight of around 20 kilos of interior equipment. The installations carried out by bwh include, for example, the concealed power supply in the base and the cold appliance plug in the base plate. "We have to offer a suitable presentation solution for all requirements within the Siemens Group. This is no longer possible with standard cases. bwh Spezialkoffer, as a development partner, offers a wealth of experience and contributes valuable information", says Peter Breitschuh about the cooperation. The internal Siemens service company SIDEMO is responsible for the construction of training and demo systems.
